Late 18th/Early 19th. Century Chinese altar table with detailed floral carved panel work. An impressive table or console that has a rich brown top that is made of a single solid elm board - the finish oozes natural aging. Raised flanges or everted ends on either side pay homage to the Chinese temple architecture of the past.

There are four carved panels that decorate the front & back of the table, each crafted showcasing the skill of the craftsman/men that made this piece. The sides of the table have further floral carving. At 86" long, the table has impressive scale which makes it very versatile in any interior - as well as capable of holding large items such as a massive television. It is an impressive Asian console table for a living room, dining room, hallway or entryway. This altar table has naturally aged wood and is of solid construction, stable on legs slightly flared at the ends. Tenon and mortise construction. The condition is excellent for it's age.
