Vintage Chinese ebonized or black lacquer altar table, the top painted with a scene depicting a gathering of elegant ladies at a waterside pavilion about to receive more friends arriving by traditional Chinese boat. The piece has a very nice overall design which features include splayed feet with double stretchers, carved apron & corbels, as well as hand painted 'gold' embellishments. A very solid and well constructed piece. Both front and back are identically finished so the piece can be used in any conceivable situation. 
Would make a great entry /foyer/lobby table or a console table behind a sofa.

Condition is very good with expected wear to finish including minor enamel loss to areas of the painting mostly on the boat.
