19th Century White Meissen Plate with Heraldic Lion Armorial

Purest of white porcelain plate with great spiral twist form. Basketweave border in relief. Scalloped rim. Magnificent hand painted heraldic lion's head in center - red and orange shades of colour. A dinner plate probably from an important service back in times past. Makes a great cabinet plate. Understated elegance.

Hallmarked on underside with the Meissen cross swords mark in underglaze blue together with the artists mark "F" painted in script, and incised "95", and another impressed mark which appears to be a "K".

Excellent condition. Probably never used. 
19th century.
