Very fine and well composed traditional Chinese painting on silk portraying various blossoming trees and flowers such as peonies, roses, cherry blossoms, iris, magnolias and hydrangeas. Peonies are associated with royalty & also called “flower of rank, wealth and honour". Chinese cherry blossoms, with their delicate beauty and ephemeral nature, hold deep cultural significance in Chinese tradition.
This original work of art is professionally mounted on board over a complimentary green textured fabric.
Most unusually the frame has "scroll" ends designed to evoke an unrolled scroll which is conveniently ready for wall mounting. This is a elegant work of art and would go brilliantly with many interior designs.
Signed on upper left with red chop mark as well as two columns of calligraphic characters in black ink. Retains the framing company label on verso as well.
Condition is very good for age with typical and expected minor wear and discoloration in places. Nothing that diminishes the beauty and artistic merit of the piece.
