Zelkova Wood Tansu Cabinet With Drawers (Storage Trunk)
Traditional Chinese style 'Tansu' chest on small legs with two generously sized door openings at the front and four pull out drawers above. The piece is crafted from very beautifully grained Japanese Zelkova (keyaki) burl veneer with metal & brass fittings and embellishments - the main highlight being, apart from the wood grain, are the round central locks, matching hinges and iron pulls.Simple sword style keys with brown tassles. These could be replaced for a tassel colour of your choice. Lined inside with heavy paper (attached to piece) decorated throughout with black calligraphy.
This is a handy storage cabinet that can be used on the floor, or can be placed/stacked on a console or similar cabinet. It's not too small nor neither too big. Just the right size.
Zelkova wood is an expensive wood with a lovely grain to it.
