Vintage Mid-Century Black Lacquer Chinese Stool With Green and White Jade Floral Top - 'Jinlong'
Older and larger than usual mid Century Chinese stool, side table or drinks table on five ruyi shaped legs ornately hand painted with gold flowers, scrolls and butterflies. The top has beautifully applied hand crafted three dimensional jade/jadeite stone depicting green bamboo, chrysanthemums and one bird with a gleaming mother of pearl tail. The height of the chrysanthemums flowers under the glass is around 1cm - quite a bit of jade that gives the three dimensional effect. The semi precious stone work is kept safe under a thick customised cut glass top.
