Gorgeous solid onyx pedestal pedestal / pillar with gilt/gold ormolu metal mounts both on the base and the scrolled capital under the round top.

The stone is what sets this piece apart from all the others - the natural opalescence and translucent quality of it - a lovely piece of pale green, brown, amber and antique white/cream onyx, the depth of which we have tried to catch in the sun lit photograph.
