Traditional tapered form ginger jar of a good size with original lid painted with colorful enamels in the manner of Peranakan porcelain exported to parts of South East Asia.  The two white panels depict exotic birds, phoenix and orange and green birds perched on rocks painted in the traditional Chinese manner with an abundance of colourful flowers - such as chrysanthemums, peonies and cherry blossoms - all very auspicious.
The main body has further floral & fruit decorations on a navy/blue background.
Colourful upper and lower borders of yellow, pink and blues.
The underside with Qianlong seal mark stamped in red.
Condition is excellent.
Mid 20th century.
