Further reading:  Martha J. Callaway, 1923 - 2012. She graduated from Connersville High School and attended Miami University of Ohio and Cincinnati College of Music and was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Tri Kappa, Magazine Club, Brown County Art Gallery and Guild, Indiana Water Color Society, Hoosier Salon, Indiana Heritage Arts and Columbus Art League. She also was a former accompanist of “The Noteables.” She was a founder of the Distinguished Speakers Series, was a member of the original Pro Musica Board and a charter member of National Museum of Women in the Arts in Washington, D.C. She was a winner of the Mayor’s Art Award and the 1990 Community Arts Award. A natural pianist with a remarkable ear, she accompanied soloists and groups from an early age. At the age of 60, she studied painting under Floyd Hopper at the Indianapolis Art League and began an unexpected "career" in water colors.

Condition is good with some minor signs of age.
