Eye-catching stylised Japanese Mashiko ceramic plate or low bowl. The charm of Mashiko ware lies in its simplicity. This particular glazed pale blue plate represents Japanese cherry blossoms on a sweeping brown branch. The back is khaki/tan with nuka glaze (a very old style of glazing in Ancient Japan), with pale blue drips near the edges.
