This is an extremely well hand painted vase in colorful enamels with a detailed wrap-around scene portraying pairs of exotic birds in a lush setting with birch trees, peonies, chrysanthemums etc. The back with columns of hand painted calligraphic characters relating a poetic narrative of the scene.
