A pair of rare and fine matching dark brown and crisp white ginger jars. Applied ornate raised swirls of leaves and peonies decorate the jars, craquelure visible under glaze. The brown colour is known as 'iron brown' and can best be described as espresso or dark chocolate.
Complete with custom made hand carved rosewood stands and reticulated rosewood tops. Stamped 'China' - indicates made in the late Republic period and are quite collectable nowadays. Republic of China (1912-1949)
