Collectable Antique English 'Store Size' Chinoiserie Black Tin Tea Caddy / Storage Box
Originally used in a fine store in England such as Selfridge's or Harrods for example, this tea caddy or tea storage box is large! Made from tin, black in colour, the front is painted with an oval panel depicting a Chinese gentlemen standing by a river or lake with his manservant, bearing a parasol/umbrella to shade his master. A small round handle opens the caddy which is generally in good condition for it's age (early/mid 20th C.).
This could be used to store just about anything from golf balls to towels as it has a good sized opening. A great gift for the man (or woman) who has everything but an old English Tea Caddy.
