This is a very fine porcelain cabinet plate with an exquisite hand painted scene portraying "Cupid & Psyche". Framed by elaborate classical border design in raised gold, red, turquoise blue and pale pink.
Signed by the artist lower right in gold "C. Forster".
Hallmarked on the underside with the Royal Vienna "bee hive" mark painted in overglaze blue.
Age: Late 19th Century.
Condition: Excellent condition with typical very minor glaze craquelure on the underside only. Very light gilt bead losses
