A very unusual Chinese early to mid 20th century high legged storage bowl made from old pine wood and old iron bands. This large oval bowl rests on four tall hardwood hand carved legs that terminate in Dragon Heads towards the top! Two iron bands hold the body together as this is an all wood contruction. Remains of the Chinese Export Office Wax Seal on undrside. This antique Chinese bowl on legs (which gives it a good height) can be used for so many purposes and in so many rooms such as the living room, den, bedroom, bathroom and display decorative or functional objects. Barely noticeable, the top iron band is missing. Wear is commensurate with age and use - and compliments the look of the piece.
