Elegant antique red rosewood wood stand or pedestal with simple & decorative hand carved apron and foot embelsihments. It has a most attractive circular white and gray marble top that can accommodate a item with a base of no more than 12'. Five graceful cabriole legs are joined by lower base stretcher. Originally used for holding an incense burner or the like - today these pieces are used for displaying busts/statues, vases, figures or as a plant/fern stand. Original label on underside & all wood construction. Rosewood of this density and quality is hard to find nowadays. Late Qing / Early 20th Century. This stand has some age to it. Minor 'complimentary' age related wear. Very good condition. Expected minor wear & shrinkage at joints consistent with age of the piece. A lovely looking piece.
