Rare Chinese brass tray table with scrolled gallery and stylised dragon legs. The heavy and solid tray top is engraved with a scene portraying a elders and children in a garden setting surrounded by intricate chased and floral borders. Take a moment to look at the width of the edges of the tray. This is a quality piece supported on a wooden folding frame. The brass has attained a wonderful warm golden colour. The fold-up base has 6 gracefully dragon shaped legs that are carved and reticulated. A good size, also a useful piece - side table, plant stand or stand alone table that will compliment either traditional or modern settings. No markings. Early 20th Century. Condition is good with expected signs of age and wear including wood checking in places and minor repair. A gorgous and elegant piece. 25" tall x 23" diameter. The tray is 22" diameter. 16.6 pounds.
