Antique solid brass Ansonia kettle or firewood / kindling bucket / pail with heavy cast iron handle. The piece is dated Feb, 13 1866 on the base. The gleaming 'spun' body is round in shape with copper rivets that hold the handle brackets, rolled top. This is signed on the underside with patent mark as per photograph. Can be used for storing coal, wood, kindling or purely for decorative or storage purposes for throws, blanket or even as a plant container/pot. A lovely piece. Very good condition with acceptable tarnish/spotting. Height with handle raised: 15.75", H9". Dia. of bucket 13.5" Width including handle 14"
