Very fine hand painted round Japanese Arita porcelain bowl. Elegant lobed form and meticulously hand painted in beautiful designs. The interior with medallions painted in Imari and Kakiemon styles over a repeating gold design against a cobalt blue glaze.
The exterior with stunning orange Buddhist / symbolic flowers and vines over a white glaze and Kakiemon style medallions painted on opposite sides.
The blue, turquoise and rich orange colours with the gold and white are lovely.
Signed on the underside with an underglaze blue Chinese imitation reign mark as shown.
Condition is excellent.
Early Showa period. Probably 1930s.
