A very pretty old Chinese trinket box constructed of solid jade panels. The pieces of jade are supported by a frame work of cloisonné that is decorated with delicate blue, turquoise and green enamelled leaves & semi precious stone flower arrangement growing upwards from a 'rock' on the top. The lid opens to reveal the inside with gilt work. The box rests on tiny Ming style feet.
Some of the semi precious stone appliqué is missing. The base is solid brass marked 'China'. A delightful and rare little box - and a lot of jade.
