Rare pair of handmade antique Chinese jars with fine form and good color. Each is painted in strong blue & white enamels against a gentle green celadon glaze. The wrap-around scene portrays traditionally clad boys playing in a Chinese garden setting along a balustrade with auspicious bats flying overhead. A table is set with lotus flowers in a vase. We consider them a matched set even though there are slight variations in form and decoration due to the hand-made nature of the pieces.
A classic pair of Antique Chinese Ginger Jars, correct in every way, suitable for many an area of the home. At the time of writing, we have display stands available if required.
