Terrot & Company was a motorcycle and bicycle manufacturing company which opened a factory in Dijon, France in 1887. The company created period advertising posters which are highly sought after today with original posters commanding very high prices. This particular poster with a hatted lady on her bicycle, scarf blowing in the wind, was made early to mid 20th century. We were not able to find similar examples of this piece. The underside is partially glazed consistent with early pieces.
Age Early/Mid 20th Century.
Anonymous. No markings indicating manufacturing origin were found.
Condition is very good with minor surface wear and scratches consistent with age and normal use. A really interesting umbrella stand useful for storage of such, as well as walking sticks, golf clubs etc.
