We were very pleased to acquire this high end Hong Kong Chinese Solid Carved Rosewood Chest of Drawers / Dresser & Matching Mirror Set in the style of George Zee.
Hand carved solid red mahogany chest of drawers. Made by master craftsman utilizing dovetail drawers & fine case joinery.
The sides and drawer fronts with raised panels and fine fluted edges. The drawer pulls carved with fancy scrollwork and a very cute stylised Chinese dragon. The chest rests on an integrated Ming style stand.  Three full size drawers and two top drawers provide a lot of storage space.
The matching mirror with complementary design including two opposing dragons chasing the eternal flaming pearl at the top of the mirror frame. Complimented with a brass Ming style hanging bracket.
The chest has an older plaque on the back which reads "Made in Hong Kong". Very similar to the furniture of the well known Hong Kong furniture maker - George Zee.
Circa 1960.-70's
Excellent Condition.  The wood is beautiful and of a quality not found these days.
The chest is 40" wide x 19" deep x 34" tall. The mirror frame is 32" wide x 42" tall x 1" thick.
Weighs 100+ pounds total.
