Classic form Chinese Planter with waisted upper section that is carefully hand painted with rich colorful enamels in traditional Rose Medallion design.
Painted panels depict lotus flowers in a pond, figural panels of a Chinese opera scene with onlookers, all surrounded by colourful flowers and butterflies/moths. Turquoise scrolls over gilt work decorate the body.
Comes with matching under plate which is primarily white with a matching border and seal in the centre..
Each piece with Qianlong seal mark stamped in red.
Condition is excellent.
Vintage, mid 20th Century.
Pot is 6 1/8" diameter x 4 3/4" tall. Plate is 7 7/8" diameter x 1 3/8" tall.
