A rather unusual vintage Chinese Porcelain Vase with Lychee Fruit & Leaf design vase.
Tapered bulbous form with nicely ruffled top rim. Incised and painted in colorful rich enamels with a wrap-around leaf and lychee fruit design. Lychees are symbolic of luck & fertility in Chinese culture. The Chinese name for lychee is li zhi (蒸枝).
6-character reign mark in red with double border on the underside. Da Qing Qianlong Nian Zhi - "Great Qing Dynasty, Qianlong Period,. 'Macau style' decoration, 1960-70's.
A good sized piece in excellent condition.
