An attractive and colourful pair of large vintage porcelain large scale vases with lots of flowers, butterlfies and moths. Famille Rose pattern - very fresh and summery in apprearance.
This useable pair are an elegant hexagonal form with tapering neck and foot.
Traditional butterfly/moth and floral design that includes lotus flowers and leaves, hand painted in rich, colorful enamels over a white glaze background. Primary colours are green, orange, blue, red and pink. Auspicious fruits and gourds in the neck area.
The undersides with dynasty marks stamped in red together with painted artist marks in red and a paper label indicating they were made in former Portugese colony of Macau, now China.
Mid 20th century.
Condition is excellent.

Each is 13 3/4" tall x 6 1/2" x 4 3/4".
