Finely decorated high quality Chinese Celadon Ginger Jar, signed and hallmarked on the underside by the artist and workshop.
Ovoid in shape with original lid, comes complete with a hand carved wood stand, decorated with Greek Key pattern on the sides, similar to the lid.
The glaze is very very faintly blue/green in colour, the piece is exquisitely hand incised/decorated with traslucent flying cranes, flowers and circles. Almost lace like in apprearance.
An elegantly turned neck - so that this maybe used as a vase if required. The work on the piece almost has a three dimensional effect, it is so good. We have tried to capture the dimensional effect in the photographs.
Signed with the "Ming" characters, however this is mid/late 20th. C.
