Utagawa Hiroshige (1797–1858)
Desired baren marks are visible, delicate bokashi, above average bleed through. Horizontal prints on Washi paper.
These smaller post card size/mini prints were made after WWll in Japan for locals and foreigners alike, as a momento of their visit. The detail is incredible and the artist allows us a look back in time via these little portals of artwork. Wood block is an very time consuming and exacting art. Very collectable now.
