Exceptional pair of high quality solid rosewood and blue cloisonné low stools, pedestals or side/drinks tables. Hand made in China around the 1960's - 1970's these superbly carved pieces each have a colourful circular inset Cloisonné enamel panel on the top - 2 opposing panels.
They portray Chinese scholarly and auspicious items, floral arrangements in decorative blue and green vases (prunus / cherry blossoms), and urns.
Set on elegant cabriole legs, with stylised fortuitous bats on each arch between the legs. The top of the table is made from beautifully matched rosewood.
Lovely as well as functional and useful Chinoiserie pieces for your home. These opposing pieces are hard to find nowadays especially of this quality.
