Mid 17th Century Transitional Antique Chinese Wucai Ginger Jar With Qilin
**Free shipping. Antique Chinese transitional jar or vase painted in overglaze enamels & underglaze blue in the Wucai palette. Continuous traditional scene painted around the body depicting a parade including at the forefront servants carrying banners, a scaled and hoofed Qilin with a rider of Nobility followed by bearers of gifts. Stylised overhead clouds on the shoulder area. Primarily pale underglaze blue with vibrant orange, green, turquoise and pale brown detailing.
From the mid-17th C (1650's) - a time between the Ming and Qing Dynasties. This piece is approximately 360 years old. A rare vase or urn that is an excellent investment and that will grace many areas in the home in the meantime. Acquired from a collector of Chinese porcelains who has amassed such over the last 40 years - a very collectable piece. In excellent condition with no chips or cracks.
Wear commensurate with age - expected very minor wear to glaze on high points.
