Sold, A magnificent piece of Oriental/Asian craftsmanship - a heavy Chinese rosewood and mother of pearl inlaid screen or room divider hand crafted in China late Qing era/First Quarter of the 20th. Century.
Four intricate folding panels. One side is inlaid with traditional Chinese landscape scenes of mountains, pavilions, temples, people and pagodas with calligraphy describing each panel. The reverse being skilfully hand carved throughout with cavorting dragons chasing the flaming pearl and immortals in the panels above and below. The hand carving is quite amazing.
Supported on brass cabots. Both sides are equally attractive.
A unique piece that speaks for itself and that will not disappoint.
