Large, elegant 6-lobed Quatrefoil form covered jar or ginger jar. Hand painted in a Famille Rose palette featuring the traditional Nyonya Straits design including the classic phoenix & peonies. The phoenix stands on a rocky outcropping surrounded by painted florals in rich vibrant enamels against a white glaze background. A pink & yellow Ruyi border graces the top of the main body while a a traditional repeating shield border completes the bottom rim.
Marked with a Qing dynasty seal mark stamped in red on the underside.
Condition is excellent.

A really eye catching and gorgeously decorative piece of Nyonya / Straits Chinese porcelain.
