Very elegant form Japanese Fujita Kutani Porcelain 'Mums' Vase with beautiful glaze & enamel colors in coral, gold, iron red, and white. An abundance of orange and white chrysanthemums and marigolds, with a lower decorative border. Marked with numerals in Gold on underside. Excellent condition. We have display stands available at the time of writing. Vintage. Mid 20th century.

The chrysanthemum's flower symbolises the sun and the light (immortality) in Japan. The Japanese have proclaimed the chrysanthemum as their national symbol, and celebrate the 'Festival of Happiness' every year in honour of the chrysanthemum.
