Large Antique 19th Century Chinese Blue & White Large Palace Urn / Ginger Jar With Foo Lion Lid.
This attractive antique Chinese porcelain ginger jar. is a striking classic Chinese baluster form with four royal blue lion faces equally spaced at the shoulder. The lid with a blue foo/fu lion finial.
The jar is carefully hand painted with a wrap-around scene portraying an auspicious phoenix bird perched dramatically on a ledge amongst lush traditional Chinese rock and landscape surroundings. Lots of flowers and leaves throughout. The blues are gorgeous - from light blue to royal blue to navy blue.
No markings.
Condition is excellent.
