Early Republic Period Chinese Porcelain Blue & White Figures, Fujian Guild Marked - a Pair
A pair of blue and white porcelain 'Elders' seated on decorated lucky coin drum or garden stools.
Very detailed from the conical hat down to the beautiful traditional robes, the slippers, the drum seat and the long plaited hair.
Early Republic Period, under-glazed transfer ware decorated pottery, unglazed faces. Each of the men are holding different auspicious objects such as a ruyi and wearing robes decorated with blue dragons and clouds, nine character impressed mark to underside - period mark of the guild or association in Fujian Province.
Can be used purely as ornaments or possibly as bookends. Early to mid 20th Century.
Measurements: L5", D4", H10.5" approximately.
