Early Antique Copper & Wrought Iron Water Vessel or Pot / Planter Circa Late 18th/Early 19th C.
Very early and rare ovoid-form copper vessel with wrought iron handles (one replaced) and wrought iron reinforced top rim (original). An very interesting piece loaded with character and authenticity.
There is an early repair to the bottom with an associated etched wavy design.
Underside inscribed with what appears to be a museum accession number which reads "015-32-6887".
18th Century to early 19th Century.
Condition is good for age. One handle is early replacement and bottom with an early repair as described. The body with numerous surface dents and great patination.
