Eye catching Chinese porcelain figure of Guan Yin in a seated position holding a ruyi sceptre and resting her elbow on an iron red table with elephant trunk support. Careifully hand painted primarily in an attractive Famille Verte tones including a repeating bamboo design on her robe. Fine facial features with gentle shading. Comes with a fitted, satin lined box. This 12" figure makes a big impression!
An impressed guild mark (which is difficult to read) is seen on the underside. We are trying to identify the guild currently.
Mid 20th century. Late Republic period.
Condition is excellent. No damage or repair whatsoever. Some minor wear to box.
