A pair of very pretty scalloped edged lacquerware trays made of glistening mother of pearl inset into black and reddish lacquers. The scenes depict traditional Asian / Oriental landscape - ladies in front of a garden pagoda with foliage and rocky landscape, the deep orange sunset behind - and of course the ever present flaming pearl in the sky. The smaller of the two depicts a fisherman punting toward a tall pagoda in the sunset. The edges are decorated with a delicate floral MOP border.
These would have taken a long time for a skilled craftsman to make.
Have the brackets for hanging if required.
Can be used as wall hangings, trays, catchalls or simply decorations.  They would also make a nice gift.
