Exquisite Middle Eastern tray table in the Assyrian style. Unusually large highly detailed hand-made copper top with repousse / engraved designs, pie crust edge, and tinned back. Theme is of various animals, royalty and buildings.
Supported by fold-up wooden base. Great for storage if table is not needed all the time. Large enough to be used as a coffee table.
The tray is signed lower middle of central medallion.
Circa 1920s.
Condition is good for age. Due to large size the copper top with expected slight overall warp. The wooden base with surface loss, minor repairs and checking cracks in places.
The top is 30" in diameter x 1". The height is 20"
