Pretty Rose Mandarin porcelain lidded container with both landscape and figural scenes.
Rectangular with truncated corners, edged in gold. Finial/knob with hand painted gilt flower.
Unusually the lid has small raised bosses around the finial, surrounded by a richly enamelled hand painted landscape scene of mountains, lakes and pagodas, with people in the foreground in a garden setting. The colours are strong and vibrant - especially the azure blues, greens and oranges. We particularly like the rock formations.
The body portrays the same type of scene with further detail.
Very good condition, no chips or cracks.
Red seal on underside - Qianlong - partially covered by a labels' redsidue.
