A masterpiece from the Renaissance revival period. Hand carved solid walnut hexagonal coffee table. Gadrooned (inverted flutings) edge over a shaped skirt with shell carving. Supported by six cabriole legs with elaborate scroll work ending at turned feet. The legs supported by a radiating stretcher with scrolled and open work carving & a large flora-form medallion in the center.
Condition is excellent. Glass top enables one to see the lovely base of the table, minor light scratches on glass.
Circa 1880.
