Very rare and ultra-fine Chinese textile hand embroidered with exquisite detail. Composed mainly of gold metallic threads, the design consists of intricate geometric openwork together with florals in blue, rose, and white. The striking butterfly form is presented against a contrasting black silk background.  A beautifully decorative wall hanging suitable for many a space in the home.
Elegantly framed in gold leaf under glass. Butterflies symbolize good fortune in Chinese culture.
No markings present.
Late Qing dynasty.
Condition is excellent.
