Understatedly elegant 19th Century French Napoleon III centerpiece. Classical cut glass bowl mounted on an exquisite base, the legs in classical form with hoofed feet and busts of Zeus at the top. The legs are adorned with acanthus leaves and interconnected with elegant floral swags. Acorn finials secure the bowl to the base (top and bottom) and another acorn adorns the center of the base platform. 19th Century. Circa 1870. No markings found. Condition is very good with typical tarnish and wear to gold finish in places. This antique piece will grace many a home.
