Antique Italian School Oil Painting on Board Portrait of an Elderly Man with Pipe. This is a competently executed painting with lots of detail, a realist style portrait. The elderly gentleman is quietly smoking his old wooden pipe, dressed in a warm mustard brown jacket with a blue neckerchief, and a most unusual dark brown hat/berret. His face is wonderfully lined and weathered - full of character.
Presented in a later elegant frame.
Not signed. The frame bearing the label of the framing company "Framatic art gallery" of Singapore.
Early 20th Century.
Condition is good for age with some scattered blemishes as seen in the photos.
