Antique Heywood Wakefield Signed Wicker Occassional or Side Chair, Late 19th. C
Eye catcing and ornate Victorian wicker side chair by Heywood Brothers and Wakefield Company. A great example from the late 19th century American Aesthetic movement. This fanciful hand made chair features ball and stick designs, skilled scrollwork, splayed capped feet, and the list goes on and on. Has good originality including elements with the original green and gold staining.

Condition is very good with minor wear. The cane seat is an older replacement in fine condition. A crack at the seat front was professionally repaired and is now barely noticeable but we have to mention it. The chair is solid and stable and ready for use.
A beutiful side or occassional chair.
