A pair of very special solid bronze French oval wall plaques in high relief portraying delightful golden cherubs. Heavy at 6lbs each, these are high quality castings with a fine gold/gilt finish. The cherubs are modelled in opposing positions carrying flowered garlands and floating amongst the clouds or heavens.
Original stepped dark brown wooden frame with black velvet material and brass fittings.
Classical wall hangings that are of a good size and suitable for many areas within the home.
No markings found.
Condition is very good with expected typical wear mainly seen at velvet material.
Late 19th Century.
Overall each is 16" x 13" x 2 1/8" thick. The plaques are 12" x 9" x 1 1/2" thick.
Each weighs 6 pounds.
