Antique Chinese Qing Dynasty Carved Hardwood Altar Table with Dragons

$3,150.00
We were delighted to acquire this 'Chinese Altar Table' that has so much age and history.
This piece exudes age and is typical of the period. It is quite unusual - from the feet to the carved front skirt.
Attributed to Fujian Province on the Eastern seaboard of China, opposite Taiwan.
Fine hand carved openwork carving on skirt/front panel includes a pair of traditional Chinese dragons that face each other, scroll work, & and three auspicious bats with their wings spread out in a magnificent fashion.
On either side of the table there is further relief carving on the 'stepped style' legs — a single slim vase with flowers.
Rare taller form with unusual feet & legs.
Endless decorator possibilities. Entry / Hallway table. Serving table / sideboard / console, even a bar.
No markings except remnants of a wax export seal -- see photo detail.
19th Century or possibly earlier. All wood construction.
Condition is good. Scattered honest replacements/repairs. Typical minor stains and imperfections. Adding up to the perfect level of destress and patination.
Currently solid and ready for use.
Wear commensurate with age and history.
