Antique Chinese Cinnabar Lobed Gourd, Cachepot / Trinket Box With Vines
A beautifully shaped and hand carved Cinnabar lobed gourd. The container's exterior surfaces have leafy tendrils and vines, the interior is black lacquer. The background is finely cross hexed giving depth to the design. The label on the underside reads "The original was made during the Chain Lung period 1735-1795).
Actual dates: Ch'ien Lung T'ung Pao, China, 1736 - 1795. This piece was most likely made first to second quarter of the 20th. Century.
A highly decorative and unusual piece that will grace many areas in the home.
