Antique Blackwood or Hongmu wood pedestal or plant stand with complex pierced link style carving on all four sides of the apron under the inset cream/beige/light pink marble top.
Very dark brown in colour with ornate scrolls and foliage carved on all four sides. This square topped table is all wood construction - no nails were used.
The stand has a total of two shelves and the piece rests on paw style feet.
Being blackwood, this is heavy. The wood is known as black gold, this was much prized. This could also be used as a display stand as well. A very useful piece.

Condition: Very good. Typical wood shrinkage at some joints - to be expected in a piece like this.  Hairline crack on upper shelf.  See photograph.
