1930's Chinese Republic Period Green & Cream Glazed Vase, Reticulated Prunus Design
An unusual as well as very attractive Chinese Republic period porcelain vase or lamp base. The wonderful lobed body is decorated with a monochrome green glaze. The large central portion on the front and back features a cream-glazed reticulated pattern of prunus or plum blossoms in relief. Bat-form handles in cream glaze finish this lovely piece.
Markings: Impressed "CHINA" on underside.
Circa 1930.
Condition: Very good.
Acquired from a collector of Chinese porcelains who has amassed such over the last 40 years.
Dimensions: 11 7/8" tall x 8 1/4" handle-to-handle.
The lobed body is about 7 1/4" diameter.
